SCHOOL OF WORSHIP

Year 1

Students will study music theory and how it relates to worship. Students will also have the opportunity to further their skills in their primary instrument, with one on one tuition. Instrument lessons that are available are as follows: Guitar, Piano, Bass and Drums.

Year 2

Students will continue in their theory studies, and with their instrument lessons.
Vocal training will be given, including microphone technique, posture, styles and performance.
Song writing Classes - Theology in Song, Defining Psalms Hymns and Spiritual Songs, Assessment and Critiquing, Copyright and Publishing.
Worship Leading Issues - Mentoring, Theology of Worship, Worship and Mission, The Psalmist, Prophesy in Song, Getting away from the Printed Page, Ritual or Radical - Avoiding Stagnation, Resources and Self-Resourcing
Practical worship leading, how to lead a band, useful tips, and performance.
Music Technology - MIDI, Samplers, Hard Disc Recorders, Cubase/Logic and all Sequencers, Arrangements, Programming, Recording Studios, the Worshipping Musician, and Planning a CD Recording.
