Diploma in Christian Ministry (DCM) – Year 1
The Diploma of Christian Ministry is an intensive preparation for Christian discipleship and leadership. The breadth of student intake is wide, from new believers to established pastors. The DCM provides students with a unique environment in which to grow and seek the will of God. Each of the three terms has a different emphasis characterised by the Spirit and the Word plus practical, hands-on experience. With 30 modules taught throughout the year, you will receive an excellent grounding in your faith.
Curriculum
Discipleship and Spiritual gifting is a main focus of the DCM course which comprises of a series of modules, each with a particular and definitive emphasis working together to prepare and mature you as a disciple. Modules include:
• Faith to Change the World Discover how living faith transforms our world
• Leading the Way Teaching and practical involvement in leadership & discipleship
• The Living Word Origin of the Bible, the manuscripts and their transmission,
authenticity and reliability
• Foundational Doctrine A grounding in essential Christian beliefs
• The History of the Church The study of the history of the church throughout the world
• Prayer Power In-depth study of the Bible’s teaching on prayer with practical application
• Ministering in the Spirit Learn how to partner in ministry with the Holy Spirit
• Walking the Walk Living out the Christian lifestyle and facing the challenges
• Challenging World Religions Engage in apologetics and polemics with major world
religions including Islam, Judaism, Secularism, Atheism and cults such as
Mormonism, and Jehovah’s Witnesses
• Reaching the Lost Evangelism and missions today
