Discipleship

A life disciplined is a life available for the Lord. Are you looking to take your life from when you first responded to Christ to being a vessel useful for the Lord’s purpose?

All around us, people are looking on at our lives, wondering what it means to live for Jesus. When they see us Christians talk the talk, they wonder, are they walking the walk? The world is lost in sin, they know not their Saviour, their eyes are blinded and their ears stopped to his revelation. They need a messenger to tell them and show them…

Jesus preached “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me”. Your interest in IBIOL is part of that first step of desire to follow after Jesus. The call of Christ to discipleship means this: to dedicate your life to becoming like Jesus is, and to show others how to do the same.

It means a full and deep repentance of sin, and learning to walk in God’s grace. Through changing all your thought processes and dealing with actions of the past, to thinking with the mind of Christ and living with his heart.

He demands the complete reorientation of your life from indulging the flesh to following the Spirit. Through the daily cleansing of his Word and by the empowering of his Spirit.
He foresees a life reflecting His, from morality to the miraculous, from doctrine to living by grace, in fullness of life and the Spirit. He believes you will know Him so well that when you teach others about Him, they will be drawn into the same commitment and desire to follow the risen Lord.

If a generation arose, not just superstar faith heroes here and there, but a vast army of saints committed to our Lord and Saviour, ready to preach the gospel and make disciples, the gates of hell would be plundered. We have a vision to make you one of these disciples.
